I believe Stratford can grow while still protecting what makes our community special.
My priorities are grounded in listening, practical solutions, responsible decision-making, and making sure residents have a meaningful voice in the future of our city.
I want Stratford to grow thoughtfully while protecting the trees, green spaces, and natural environment that make our city special. That means asking the right questions about development, considering environmental impacts early, and balancing growth with the long-term health of our community.
What I’ll Work Toward
Protecting mature trees and green spaces
Supporting practical approaches to stormwater, runoff and urban green space
Encouraging thoughtful growth and sustainable tourism
Stratford needs housing, and I support growth that helps people live comfortably and affordably in our city. Development should also respect existing neighbourhoods, infrastructure, green space and the character of our city.
What I’ll Work Toward
Supporting housing that fits thoughtfully within existing neighbourhoods
Considering traffic, parking, stormwater, infrastructure and services alongside development
Balancing housing needs with long-term community wellbeing
Considering transportation, parking and accessibility when making decisions that affect how people move through Stratford
Residents deserve to understand how decisions are made and to feel that their voices are genuinely heard. I believe good government means listening to different perspectives, asking questions, being transparent about the information available, and being accountable for decisions.
I won't always have the same perspective as everyone else and that's okay. What matters is being willing to listen, learn and work together.
What I’ll Work Toward
Recorded votes, open timely communication with public
Making information accessible and easier to find and understand
Creating meaningful opportunities for residents to provide input
Access to affordable food is an important part of a resilient community. I want to explore practical ways to strengthen connections between local farmers and residents while creating opportunities to learn about growing, preserving and producing food.
What I’ll Work Toward
Revisiting the residential animal by-law to allow residential chickens
Connecting local farmers and residents through workshops and education
Supporting community gardens and local food initiatives
Community spaces bring people together and help create a strong sense of belonging. I want recreation investments to reflect the diverse ways children, youth and families participate in our community, including those who may not take part in traditional sports.
What I’ll Work Toward
Expanding and improving the All Wheels Park
Supporting additional Dog Parks and off-leash spaces
A year-round public pool
Increasing accessible recreation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities
Arts, culture and community services all contribute to a vibrant Stratford. As a local published poet, I know firsthand how creativity can connect people and strengthen a sense of belonging. A thriving arts community contributes to a vibrant city, strengthens community connections, and helps make Stratford a place where people want to live, work, visit, and create.
I want to support the organizations and services that help residents, families, youth, seniors and vulnerable residents find the support they need. I believe local government has an important role to play in creating the conditions for a connected, compassionate, and inclusive community.
What I’ll Work Toward
Strengthening access to arts and cultural experiences throughout the community
Considering the needs of families, youth, seniors, and vulnerable residents
Supporting initiatives that make it easier for residents to participate
Working collaboratively with local organizations to strengthen community supports
Local government affects our everyday lives, yet many don't feel connected to municipal politics or know how decisions are made.
I want to help make local government more accessible and easier to understand. That means sharing practical information, encouraging questions, and creating more opportunities for residents to engage with their community. I believe every voice matters - not only during an election, but every day.
What I’ll Work Toward
Sharing practical information about how City decisions are made
Creating more opportunities for residents to ask questions and provide input
Encouraging people to stay engaged with their community between elections
